Just got back from the NBA Conference, lots of changes. My only concern is who alerts the students to all these changes. And, does any of the books that I have posted on different databases for reuse need to be updated for them to be of any use?

I am so excited: The new Braille Formats has been released! Everyone must download it now. Don't forget to click on and bookmark the .html version, too. If you don't see braille dots, get to the tools menu for your browser and add brl dots to your fonts.

Can't wait to see the blog now!!!

As the person responsible for the numbering of workshops for the last few years, I can tell you that there have been many and varied methods of laying out the workshop offerings. The fact that transcribers have been at the beginning of each time slot lately was convenience on my part.

Workshops intended for transcribers tend to be overwhelmingly attended by transcribers. Workshops for parents tend to be specifically targeted to parents and as many as possible are scheduled on Saturday. Educator workshops tend to have the most appeal to those outside strictly the educator area. No workshop is off-limit to anyone, however, so it has been up to the attendee to read the class descriptions in the registration packet and choose accordingly.

Since the Conference Brochure Workshops-at-a-Glance is meant for assigning rooms and not for choosing your workshops, I didn't add that additional information to an already busy spreadsheet, but I can try that next year and see whether people like it.

Thanks for the feedback.

Special Ed teachers often do not have professional development geared for them and the students they serve. How can these specialists get current information?

Great Comment Judi. I think this is something that would be easy to add to our Conference at a Glance.
